We developed four homepage concepts around Kainoa’s modern, blue-themed visual direction, drawing on Japan’s urban character and subtle references to Hawaii. Each explored a different balance of layout, imagery, tone, and atmosphere, giving the client a range of options to review before moving into the next stage of the project.

Once a direction was selected, we worked through a series of refinements to sharpen the visual style, layout, and content structure. This helped establish the design system and overall feel before applying it across the full website.

With the visual direction established, we designed the full website across key pages for clients and candidates. The system was carried through each page while adapting the layout, content, and visual elements to suit its purpose.

A bilingual experience.
The full site was designed and developed in both English and Japanese, with each language version carefully adapted for its audience. This included translating and restructuring content where needed while keeping the experience consistent across both versions.

Easy-to-manage system
A key part of the project was giving the Kainoa team more control after launch. Articles and job listings needed to be easy to publish, edit, and manage without relying on ongoing developer support.By combining a refined front-end experience with a practical content management system, the final site gives Kainoa Consulting a stronger platform for both client outreach and candidate engagement.
