AUTOMATION — PROJECT BRIEF
Founded in 2018, LifePlan Investments is an insurance and financial brokerage. They set out to be different from other MGAs by introducing several tools to help advisors provide more control over their business. However, they found themselves in a challenging spot, unable to take control of the sales & on-boarding funnels set up for their advisors. Automated follow-ups and reminders were nowhere to be seen. Their reluctance to automate was due to the founder’s push for a personalized experience with all client-facing communication.
AUTOMATION — OUR SOLUTION
We approached the problem with two goals; Simplifying their flow and introducing automation while retaining the same personalized service that previously existed. From interactive forms to conversational AI, we leveraged technologies such as Twilio, Google Dialogflow, Airtable and more as part of our automation strategy.
PERSONALIZED AUTOMATION
The first step in our quest for personalized automation was to learn more about incoming leads. The questions asked in a typical phone call is far more comprehensive than contact forms commonly used on websites. We leveraged Heyflow, an interactive form builder that allows visitors to specify their specific insurance needs with a built-in calculator and a personalized quote.
ORGANIZED COMMUNICATION
In past automation projects, user personalization rarely went beyond the individual's first name and email address. LifePlan challenged us to go much further. We shadowed their client facing team and set out to replicate their communication in our automation strategy. We created multiple funnels to match the complexities of life insurance and the various products the business offered. Airtable was a welcomed tool to keep track of all users as they flowed through various onboarding funnels. A powerful automation tool combined with a simple interface made it easy for our client to overlook and keep track of their customers. Positive feedback from the initial trial runs solidified Airtable as part of our strategy.
